JAT Holdings signed an MOU with the National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC) Sri Lanka for the implementation of an eco-innovation project. NCPC Sri Lanka, the United Nations Environment Programme and the Green Building Council of Sri Lanka have collaborated to support the implementation of a Global Environment Facility (GEF) funded project for the global best practices in chemical management.
As a leading force in the paint industry, the project will enable JAT to identify product lifecycle hotspots through the manufacturing process of the JAT emulsion paint products and seeks technical assistance to reduce the impact of the operations on the environment by adapting global tools to reduce the use of chemicals of concern in the building sector.
This is one of many initiatives that JAT has undertaken in driving down its impact on the environment and in driving an eco-friendly and sustainable business.
